Hello Parents & Guardians of Vista Heights School
We are excited for the 2023-2024 school year and we look forward to meeting new and returning students. My name is Jessica Greig and I am the new Principal at Vista Heights School. We are currently hiring a new Assistant Principal for the school, and during the interim Mr. Dustin Pivarnyik has graciously accepted the Acting Assistant Principal role for the month of September.
Teachers are returning this week and are busy planning and setting up spaces for a smooth start to our year. Over the next couple days, teachers will call families to introduce themselves and explain our first day of school procedure and help answer any questions you may have.

The office will be open Monday August 28, 2023. The hours for the main office:

Vista Heights School follows a traditional calendar. The instructional hours for the day are listed on the calendar. The first day of school is Thursday August 31, 2023. Teachers will greet students arriving by bus and meet students outdoors on the first day of school.
Kindergarten
To ensure a smooth start for our youngest learners, the first day of Kindergarten has a staggered start. During the Kindergarten orientation in the spring parents/guardians were informed if they would be attending in the AM or PM for this first day of school. All students will attend on Friday and each day after.
Please note, there are 12 additional days that there is no Kindergarten classes or supervision. Please make alternative arrangements for these additional days where there will be no school. All other grades and classes will proceed normally.
The hours for the staggered first day of Kindergarten on Aug 31 include:
- 8:50-11:20 AM
- 12:50-3:20 PM
