First Day of Classes

2025-2026 School Year

Good Morning Vista Heights Families,

We are excited to welcome everyone back for another fantastic school year! School begins on Tuesday, September 2, and we have a few updates and important reminders to share with you.

This year, we will be starting the school day at 8:44 AM and ending at 3:20 PM from Monday to Thursday. On Fridays, we will have an early dismissal, with students finishing the day at 12:36 PM. The new soft time to enter school is 8:36 AM, where doors will open for a gentle start to your child’s day and a grab and go breakfast is available. See our school website for more details about our nutritional programs.

Kindergarten Families: Please note that Kindergarten students will have a shortened day on their first day of school. Parents should plan to pick up their Kindergarten children at 12:30 PM on Tuesday this week.

All Families: Be sure to pack plenty of healthy snacks, a water bottle, lunch and a backpack each day.

Our teachers have been hard at work setting up their classrooms and are eager to welcome your children. They will be reaching out to families via School Messenger on Friday, August 29 at noon to introduce themselves.

On Tuesday, September 2, students will meet their teacher on the south tarmac. Teachers will communicate instructions regarding student check-in through their School Messenger email. On Wednesday morning, all students will be entering the school through the front doors to walk to begin our regular entrance routine and start our new early dismissal hours.

We are looking forward to seeing you all on Tuesday for a great start to the year!

Warm regards,

Ms. Jessica
